Burned Sports isn’t just any store. We’re a specialist basketball store with a strong reputation among basketball players, sneaker lovers and streetwear fans. From our store in the center of Den Bosch, we combine personal advice, good service and a strong collection with our online shop.
We’re looking for an all-around store associate to join our team for 8 to 32 hours per week.
What will you do?
As an all-around store associate, you’re an important face of Burned Sports.
You actively engage with customers. You don’t wait for someone to ask a question; you approach customers yourself. You ask questions, listen carefully and give advice that suits the customer.
With basketball shoes, for example, that goes beyond just grabbing the right size. You try to understand how someone plays, what matters to them and which shoe suits that.
You also take care of everything a store needs:
- welcoming, advising and helping customers;
- selling and working the register;
- displaying basketball shoes, sneakers, clothing and accessories;
- unpacking and processing new stock;
- restocking and tidying up;
- picking and packing online orders;
- customer service;
- making sure the store looks good every day.
So you really do a bit of everything.
What we’re looking for in you
We’re looking for someone who isn’t just a fun colleague, but also understands that good service and actively advising customers make the difference. You:
- find it easy to approach customers;
- enjoy advising people;
- are sociable and enthusiastic;
- take initiative;
- have a commercial mindset without being pushy;
- have a sense of style and an interest in sneakers, streetwear and/or basketball;
- work neatly and accurately;
- can work independently, but also enjoy working as a team;
- are flexible in your availability.
Experience in retail or sales is a plus, but not a requirement. Interest, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter more to us.
What do we offer?
- A part-time job of 8 to 32 hours per week
- A varied role with lots of customer contact
- A market-rate salary
- 8% vacation allowance and vacation days
- Employee discount on our products
- Guidance and training on basketball shoes, sneakers, streetwear and sales
- A fun team that regularly gets together for drinks or dinner
- A workplace on one of the nicest shopping streets in Den Bosch
- A job where you learn a lot about retail, sales, fashion and advising customers
- An inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves
Sound like your thing?
Think you’d be a good fit at Burned Sports? Then we’d love to hear from you. Just stop by and see us at Hinthamerstraat 39 in Den Bosch, or email contact@burnedsports.com.
