About us
The history of Burned Sports
Born out of a love for basketball, I started Burned Sports: a small store in a small village, run by a young man with a big dream. After playing a year of high school basketball in the USA for the Zalma Bulldogs, I, Floris de Jongh (17 at the time), was determined to bring the colourful American basketball sneakers and designer performance shoes to the Netherlands under the company name Burned Basketball. Top-quality basketball shoes simply could not be found here at the time. Dutch basketball players quickly fell in love with the shoes and the business grew fast. It was only a matter of time before the Burned clothing brand was born and the company started growing into a big name in the Dutch basketball scene.

So here's to all indoor ballers & sneaker lovers: We got you!

Burned Basketball became Burned Sports
The bigger Burned Basketball grew, the more customers found their way to our stores looking for volleyball, handball and korfball shoes. Apparently basketball players were not the only athletes who could not find good shoes for their favourite sport. So I wanted to help all indoor ballers. That is why I changed the name Burned Basketball to Burned Sports. I adapted and expanded our collection with shoes and protective gear suitable for all indoor sports. To complete the picture, Burned Sports now also offers lifestyle products. Burned Sports has also grown thanks to the demand for exclusive sneakers and performance shoes, including large sizes. That is why Burned Sports stands out from the competition with collections you do not see everywhere. Today Burned Sports is a Performance and Lifestyle store where a young team of family and friends is ready to help you every day.
