Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is in the process of signing a lifetime contract with sportswear brand Under Armor worth over $1 billion USD.

Who is Stephen Curry?

Wardell Stephen Curry II , commonly known as Steph Curry, is one of the best basketball players in the world. So far, Curry has made about 3,000 3-pointers in his life, which is more than Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. Curry's legacy is not just 3-pointers, he is an eight-time NBA All-Star and an eight-time All-NBA selection, including four first-team appearances, has been named an NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, has four NBA championships, received an NBA Finals MVP Award and an NBA All-Star game.

The collaboration between Under Armor and Curry

Curry joined Under Armor in 2013 and signed a footwear and merchandising deal. His first Basketball shoe was released in 2015 as the 'Under Armor Curry 1'. Since then, Curry has become the face of the company and even created his own brand called 'Curry Brand'. But that doesn't mean everything always went smoothly. There was significant friction between Curry and Under Armor founder Kevin Plank. Curry took issue with Plank's support of President Donald Trump, whom he called an "asset" for the United States. This was enough to prompt Curry to leave the company in 2018. But after discussing and allowing Curry to launch the "Curry-Brand", things are running smoothly again.

Curry 10

After releasing his first shoe in 2015, his 10th model has now been released by Under Armour. The Curry 10 Black red yellow and the Curry Sour Patch Kids . The Curry's model has come a long way, through changes to the shoe, specific functions and technologies, Under Armor and Steph Curry have created a basketball line that takes performance on the court to the next level.

Curry's current contract with Under Armor runs until 2024, but that will likely change as Curry wants to become a lifetime partner of Under Armour.
