The adidas Yeezy Basketball 'Quantum' marks his first foray into a hoops-inspired sneaker and brings Kanye West's avant-garde design language into a more functional design. The upper of this version is broken up with a neoprene lacing system, snakeskin-textured panels and a suede toe. A semi-translucent casing houses responsive Boost cushioning, which also serves as the outsole for targeted traction. The adidas Yeezy Basketball Quantum "Barium" is the second colorway of the silhouette, and according to sources it will drop next month. Boasting a grayish, dark green Marl Primeknit upper encased in a plastic cage in a slightly darker shade of green to evoke a camouflage-like look, other details consist of a black suede toe, followed by translucent tooling with full-length encased BOOST cushioning. A whole different approach than most basketball shoes.
Earth tones
Even though Yeezy is known for its many releases, with lots of different colorways, they still manage to amaze us in a crazy way every time. This is truly a shoe to shine on the basketball court. The design is reminiscent of a mountain landscape with earth tones. And the sides also resemble a kind of Scandinavian glaciers. The release has been confirmed by adidas itself. On 10 October, the new colorway of Kanye West's new adidas basketball sneaker comes out. This pair is, however, just slightly different from the original release. The reinforcement pieces for extra support on the sides are missing on this shoe.
