Championship victory
While LeBron James’s title-winning game in Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals was the talk of the sports world, the Nike LeBron 18 "Sisterhood" on his feet also got plenty of attention. Now the shoes in which the King won his fourth Larry O'Brien Trophy are ready for a full retail release. LeBron’s decision in 2018 to take his talents west to join the Los Angeles Lakers finally paid off last night, when the 17-year veteran closed out the most unusual season in NBA history with his fourth championship win. And with the King currently trending everywhere on social media, Nike is celebrating James’ latest triumph by surprise-launching a few shoe releases, including a restock of the LeBron 7 "Media Day", alongside a few colorways of the LeBron 18. One of them is this extra vibrant 'Sisterhood' colorway, spotted on the feet of the Akron-born baller during Game 6 on 11 October.

Tribute
Dressed from collar to outsole in a tone Nike Basketball has called "Bright Mango", the "Sisterhood" presents a look that seems somewhat inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers, but is not a direct uniform tribute. Apart from the monochrome look, the key details are translucent ovals on the tongue bearing the lion logo of LeBron James, a Nike Air hit and the King’s signature. If you look inside the insoles, you will also see a mosaic-style print combining black, white and blue. This "Sisterhood" pattern also adorned a LeBron Soldier 14 and the insole of an Air Jordan 1 Mid. From a materials standpoint, the "Sisterhood" has a structured knit upper with thick woven lines marking the placement of the eyestay anchors. This flexible forefoot works together with a molded heel for fit and support, while the midsoles combine Zoom Air in the forefoot with Air Max in the heel for soft yet responsive cushioning on the Lebron James basketball shoes. The Nike LeBron 18 “Sisterhood” releases on 23 October on Nike SNKRS China and will sell for about €190. A full global release will likely follow in the coming weeks.
