1 How long does delivery take? In the Netherlands, we deliver within 1-3 business days. Order before 15:00? Then we aim to ship your order the same day, and in the Netherlands you'll usually have it the next day. Delivery abroad can take longer. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
2 Can I exchange it for a different size or color? Yes, through our return portal you can easily exchange it for a different size, color or even a different product. You register the exchange, send the item back and a new order is placed for the replacement. Return shipping is free for exchanges.
3 What is your return policy? You have 14 days after receiving your order to change your mind and cancel it, and then another 14 days to actually send it back via the return portal. The product must be in its original condition and packaging.
4 What if my product breaks? Our warranty period is 100 days from purchase. If your product breaks and no longer works the way it should, report it via our warranty page — we'll assess whether it's covered by the warranty. Your statutory rights (the legal guarantee) always apply as well.

Vans Skate Half Cab Black White
Black suede with white stitching, a white sole edge and the well-known Half Cab label on the side. This is the skate version of a model that came out in 1992.
Where does the Half Cab come from?
The Half Cab came about because skaters cut down Steve Caballero's high-top shoe themselves: easier to move in, less weight. In 1992, Vans turned that habit into a model of its own. The mid-height collar and the rounded suede toe have been on it ever since.
What's in the Skate version?
Vans rebuilt this model for its Skate line. Under the upper sits DuraCap: extra rubber in the spots where grip tape wears through fastest. The insole is called PopCush and is thicker than the classic one, so you feel landings less in your legs. The sole is made of SickStick rubber, which Vans itself calls its grippiest compound, for hold on your board.
How high does it sit around your ankle?
The collar comes up to just below your ankle bone: higher than a low-top sneaker, lower than a high-top skate shoe. That leaves your ankle free to move, while the edge of the shoe still absorbs some of the knocks against your board.
Also as an everyday shoe?
Definitely. Black with white is the most understated combination this model comes in, and you'll notice the thick insole even when you're just walking. Suede gets blotchy from rain, so save it for dry days and brush it clean afterward.
We recommend the Half Cab to skaters who want a little more around the ankle than a low shoe offers, and to anyone who simply wears it on the street. Two sizes of this version are still on the shelf.
