1 How long does delivery take? In the Netherlands, we deliver within 1-3 business days. Order before 15:00? Then we aim to ship your order the same day, and in the Netherlands you'll usually have it the next day. Delivery abroad can take longer. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
2 Can I exchange it for a different size or color? Yes, through our return portal you can easily exchange it for a different size, color or even a different product. You register the exchange, send the item back and a new order is placed for the replacement. Return shipping is free for exchanges.
3 What is your return policy? You have 14 days after receiving your order to change your mind and cancel it, and then another 14 days to actually send it back via the return portal. The product must be in its original condition and packaging.
4 What if my product breaks? Our warranty period is 100 days from purchase. If your product breaks and no longer works the way it should, report it via our warranty page — we'll assess whether it's covered by the warranty. Your statutory rights (the legal guarantee) always apply as well.

Vans Skate Sk8-Hi Dark Web Grey/Black
The Sk8-Hi has been around since 1978 and has never gone away. This version comes from Vans’ Skate Classics line: the same silhouette, but with components Vans built in specifically for skateboarding.
What Vans changed for the skate version
Where grip tape bites hardest, there’s DURACAP: a thin rubber layer under the upper that keeps you from wearing through your shoe within a few sessions. Inside the shoe is a PopCush footbed, a thicker insole that absorbs the impact of a landing and that you’ll notice in your heels after a long session. The tongue is held in place with internal straps so it doesn’t slide to the side, and the heel has a molded heel counter that keeps your heel in place.
The web on the side
This version is called Dark Web Grey/Black. The upper is almost entirely dark: suede on the toe and sides, canvas above, black laces and a black sole. The only contrast comes from the stitching, which runs in a spiderweb pattern across the side panel. The familiar Vans sidestripe is done in the same dark shade, so you only see it up close.
Grip on the board
Under the shoe is the waffle tread Vans is known for, made with SickStick rubber. The square blocks grab the bolts of your board and also give you grip on a smooth floor. The rubber bumper runs all the way around and over the toe, so the spot that wears out first is also the thickest.
How does a high-top Vans fit around your ankle?
The collar is padded and comes up above your ankle bone. That gives support around the ankle without restricting your movement, and it saves you scrapes when a trick goes wrong. The shaft is stiff on day one and gets softer as the suede molds to your foot.
Keeping black suede clean
Suede and canvas let water through, so this isn’t a shoe for wet winter days. Dry-brush them clean with a suede brush and keep them out of the washing machine.
We mainly sell this one to people who wore through their previous pair at the toe; the rubber layer under the upper is made exactly for that. If you’re not going to skate in it, you’re buying it for the look, and that’s fine too.

If you’re looking for a shoe to play indoor sports in, go for a real indoor shoe with a court sole.
If you want a light, low sneaker for warm days, a high-top skate shoe is too sturdy.
