1 How long does delivery take? In the Netherlands, we deliver within 1-3 business days. Order before 15:00? Then we aim to ship your order the same day, and in the Netherlands you'll usually have it the next day. Delivery abroad can take longer. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
2 Can I exchange it for a different size or color? Yes, through our return portal you can easily exchange it for a different size, color or even a different product. You register the exchange, send the item back and a new order is placed for the replacement. Return shipping is free for exchanges.
3 What is your return policy? You have 14 days after receiving your order to change your mind and cancel it, and then another 14 days to actually send it back via the return portal. The product must be in its original condition and packaging.
4 What if my product breaks? Our warranty period is 100 days from purchase. If your product breaks and no longer works the way it should, report it via our warranty page — we'll assess whether it's covered by the warranty. Your statutory rights (the legal guarantee) always apply as well.

Vans Sk8-Hi MTE-2 Brown
At first glance a regular Sk8-Hi: high shaft, padded collar, the stripe along the side and a cream-colored rubber rim around the sole. Look closer and you'll see the winter version. The upper is brown suede with textile, the stripe is olive green, a small tag hangs on the side and the collar is lined in rust brown on the inside. Under the shoe sits a coarsely patterned sole with real lugs.
What does MTE-2 mean at Vans?
MTE stands for Vans' winter line. Its second level combines three things: an inner sock that runs all the way around and keeps moisture out, an insulation package in the lining and an outsole for cold weather. With a regular canvas Sk8-Hi, rain gets through the seams; here that layer sits in between.
How warm is the lining?
The lining contains PrimaLoft, a fine synthetic fiber that holds in warmth the way down does. Vans applies it by zone, so in the places where you need it and not equally thick everywhere. That keeps the shaft from getting bulky. You notice it most when you're standing still: on the train platform, on the sideline, in line.
What does that coarse tread do?
The outsole is made of All-Trac, a rubber compound Vans makes for cold weather. The lugs are flexible and conform to uneven ground, which gives more contact surface on a wet sidewalk or a forest trail. On a skateboard it feels coarser than the classic waffle sole.

Only sizes 37 and 38 of this version are still in stock. Keep in mind that you'll wear a thicker sock in winter. Check the Vans size chart, or come try them on in Den Bosch.
We mostly sell this model to people who ride their bikes in winter. Bring a thicker sock when you try them on, so you’ll know right away if the size is right.
