1 How long does delivery take? In the Netherlands, we deliver within 1-3 business days. Order before 15:00? Then we aim to ship your order the same day, and in the Netherlands you'll usually have it the next day. Delivery abroad can take longer. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
2 Can I exchange it for a different size or color? Yes, through our return portal you can easily exchange it for a different size, color or even a different product. You register the exchange, send the item back and a new order is placed for the replacement. Return shipping is free for exchanges.
3 What is your return policy? You have 14 days after receiving your order to change your mind and cancel it, and then another 14 days to actually send it back via the return portal. The product must be in its original condition and packaging.
4 What if my product breaks? Our warranty period is 100 days from purchase. If your product breaks and no longer works the way it should, report it via our warranty page — we'll assess whether it's covered by the warranty. Your statutory rights (the legal guarantee) always apply as well.

Burned Indoor & Outdoor Basketball Tiger Edition Sizes 5, 6 & 7
Tired of boring basketballs too? The Burned Tiger is an indoor-outdoor basketball with a tiger print, made to stand out without compromising on quality. In sizes 5, 6 and 7, for men, women and kids.
Because that's the choice you usually get: a smooth indoor basketball, or a cheap outdoor basketball that feels like a rock. That's why we make this indoor-outdoor basketball ourselves — with the same PU leather construction as our solid-color versions, just with a tiger print on top.
Since 2011, Burned has been the basketball specialist in the Netherlands. Our own basketballs are designed from that hands-on experience: functional, durable and made for intensive use.
One basketball for the gym and for outdoors
The PU leather is topped with Sticky-Grip, our own cover. It's slightly rough, so the basketball stays in your hand when your hands are sweaty and keeps its grip on dusty asphalt, where a smooth ball slips away.
That's the difference from the usual indoor-outdoor basketball in this price range. It's usually made of rubber: cheap to make, hard in the hand and slippery as soon as it gets dusty. PU leather holds up better on the street than the soft cover of an indoor basketball, and keeps its grip where rubber loses it.
As an indoor basketball on hardwood and as an outdoor basketball on the court behind the school: both, without having to write it off after a month.
The honest truth about grip on a printed basketball
The pattern is printed in ink on the PU leather, so it sits on top of the Sticky-Grip cover. That gives this basketball slightly less grip right away than our solid-color versions. Break it in for a few weeks and the ink wears down a little, so the grip gets better.
Here we deliberately chose design over maximum grip. The grip is good — more than enough for the gym and the local court — but if you want the best we have, choose a solid-color indoor-outdoor basketball or one of our indoor basketballs.
What size basketball do you need?
If you play recreationally, this is the rule of thumb:
- Size 7 — men and boys from around fifteen
- Size 6 — all women and girls, and boys from about twelve to fifteen
- Size 5 — kids up to about twelve
Torn between sizes for a growing player? Go smaller. With a basketball that's too heavy, a kid learns to shoot from the shoulder instead of the wrist, and that technique is hard to unlearn.
The Tiger comes in sizes 5, 6 and 7.
The official NBB size chart
If you play in a league, it's not your age that counts but your category — and sometimes your level too. This is the table from the Handboek Competities of the Dutch Basketball Federation, season 2025-2026. Your age on January 1 determines which category you're in.

Three things stand out. U12 depends on the level, not on age: regional play uses size 5, national play size 6. U16 splits by gender — men move up to size 7, women stay at size 6. And from U18, the regular size simply applies: 7 for men, 6 for women.
Does your kid play U8? Then the NBB prescribes size 4. We don't carry that size — our basketballs start at size 5. For home and the local court, size 5 is fine, but for U8 league play you need size 4.

Who this basketball is less suited for
If you want maximum grip from the first minute, a printed basketball isn't your best choice — the ink layer needs to be broken in first. In that case, choose the Burned Black Gold or the LA Glitter; those aren't printed.
Do you play league games indoors every week? Then a real indoor basketball feels better: softer, with more feel at your fingertips. For that we have the Burned Flare, the Ember and the Ignite.
Pressure check
The right pressure is 0.5 to 0.6 bar (7 to 9 PSI). At the right pressure, every ball bounces the same, and that does more for your practice than any drill.
No pressure gauge? Use the bounce test: hold the ball straight out beside you at shoulder height and let it drop. If it bounces back to about your hip, the pressure is right. If it comes up higher, let some air out; if it stays lower, pump in a little more.

Of all our print editions, this is the one that most often goes outside. Our advice: buy it for the local court, not for the windowsill.

Plan on size 5 up to about age twelve, size 6 for youth up to fifteen and for all women, and size 7 for men older than that.
For league play, the size follows the NBB age group.

Inflate to 0.5 to 0.6 bar; too soft and it plays heavy, too hard and it bounces away.
Wipe it down with a damp cloth after playing on the local court and dry it indoors.
