Vans Skate
The Vans Skate are actually the models as they were developed in 1966. Real skate shoes. Equipped with the sturdy nose for the ollie's, stiff waffle sole for less wear and a popcush sole for the right cushioning. The looks of these shoes are exactly the same as the fashion variants that you see in many stores now. You will notice that even when not skating, the shoe runs better, feels firmer and lasts longer. Vans Skate is only sold at specialized skate shops and online. At Burned Sports we are focused on: Skate, indoor sports, lifestyle and casual clothing.
Vans
In 1966 Vans started as a real skate brand. The models of that time were equipped with a reinforced nose, a stiff waffle sole and an extra set of laces. As Vans slowly transformed into a casual brand, the functionality has changed over the years. Vans sneakers have long been an integral part of everyday fashion. Many people (young and old) love the Oldskool Low and the Sk-8 High, because of the neutral looks. The looks of these classic models have always remained the same. Skating with these (fashion) variants was just not really a success.
Dura Cap
A Dura Cap is a silicone layer that is attached under the upper of the shoe. Skaters often slide the top of their foot across the board to lift the board off the ground in one smooth motion. The top of a skateboard is covered with grip tape. Grip tape provides good grip while skating, but does chafe the top of your shoe. The Dura Cap therefore ensures that the upper of your shoe lasts longer.
Doll Cush
During the craziest movements and sometimes dangerous heights you can occasionally hit the ground hard. That is why it is so nice to be well received. In running shoes, the sole is rounded so that you come down in a smooth movement. With skate shoes you should have a flat sole to maintain the ultimate board feeling. A Pop Cush insole ensures that you are well cushioned, while you have the good feeling with your board. Even when not skating, this sole provides soft cushioning, even if the shoes are flat.
waffle sole
The Vans signature waffle sole can be found on almost every model. This structure provides a good grip while skating and walking. The waffle sole has been developed in such a way that it offers more grip on your big toe than on the small toe. This in turn provides better board control. The quality of rubber has also been improved with the Vans Skate compared to the fashion variant. The color of the sole is often darker to show that you are dealing with a Vans Skate.
