Denham
It was founded in Amsterdam in 2008 by a British fashion designer named Jason Denham. Jason is obsessed with making premium denim. He combines his experience in wash recipes, perfect fit and contemporary fits with fabrics from the world’s best mills in Europe and Japan. Denham’s goal is to offer its customers premium products, artistic brand content and engaging emotional stories in every consumer experience. Denham is obsessed with every detail of the design process, and this obsession gave rise to the well-known slogan “The Truth is in the Details”. Denham’s iconic scissors logo is inspired by Jason Denham’s first pair of tailor’s scissors. These tailor’s scissors are recognized worldwide as a symbol of quality. Over the years, Denham has expanded into a complete range for men and women, including outerwear, tops, jeans and several accessories.

The 3 sneakers
The first three Denham-designed Nike sneakers dropped on 18 September. The Amsterdam denim brand introduced its version of the Nike Air Max 1, a unisex sneaker redesigned with authentic Japanese denim, light brown nubuck and indigo suede. The sneaker is an example of how Denham’s founder, Jason Denham, respects the original design of the Nike kick while preserving his brand’s use of high-quality Japanese indigo materials. The upper features kakuju-tsunagi sashiko stitching - a type of Japanese embroidery alongside indigo check denim and indigo herringbone made by the Nihon Menpu Japan mill. The co-branded sneaker also has a rubber outsole and Nike’s air cushioning technology for comfort, and features Denham’s signature in the sole. Sustainable bamboo lace tips are engraved with the denim brand’s iconic scissors logo. The Nike Air Max 1 is available in Denham stores and on the website and costs about 220 euros. On 25 September, two more styles will come out, the Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Air Max 95. The Denham x Nike Air Max 90 has an upper of multi-layered indigo and ecru denim from Candiani Denim, a longtime collaborator of Denham. The style, which also features Denham’s signature on the insole, costs about 180 euros. Washed black denim is used for the Air Max 95, and striped yellow accents serve as a nod to the 1995 version of the sneaker. The sneaker will also feature Denham’s slogan 'The Truth is in the Details' on the underside in the air bag. The style is on sale for about 210 euros.
