DBL starts again!

Basketball in the Netherlands has started again. Last Saturday the men were allowed to get back to work. For some this was the first game of the season. There were also a few new teams who found their debut in the DBL a bit exciting.

Start

Last Saturday, 10 teams were allowed to storm the field again and 2 more on Sunday. Which allowed every team to play last weekend. Unfortunately, these matches were without an audience, but you could follow many teams via the livestream. Hopefully this will change soon and we can all cheer during the matches again. These were fierce and exciting matches, but unfortunately only 6 teams were allowed to walk away with the win. Since the beginning, a few new teams have been added to the DBL, with all new faces. The teams involved are The Hague Royals from The Hague, Almere Sailors from Almere and Yoast United from Bemmel. We wish these teams good luck and strength in the DBL.

FIBA European Cup

The group stages of the FIBA European Cup have started again and they are not that far from home this year. Heroes Den Bosch has managed to reach the group stage here in Den Bosch. Some tough matches will be played in the Maaspoort from 24 to 30 January. This means that no fewer than 12 matches will be played in 6 days, all in the heart of Den Bosch. Donar from Groningen will also be present.

Rest of the season

The season has only just started and we still have a long time to go. Hopefully it goes smoothly and we can enjoy Dutch basketball and perhaps cheer in the hall again. For now we will follow the matches behind the computer, telephone, laptop, tablet or TV.
