1 How long does delivery take? In the Netherlands, we deliver within 1-3 business days. Order before 15:00? Then we aim to ship your order the same day, and in the Netherlands you'll usually have it the next day. Delivery abroad can take longer. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
2 Can I exchange it for a different size or color? Yes, through our return portal you can easily exchange it for a different size, color or even a different product. You register the exchange, send the item back and a new order is placed for the replacement. Return shipping is free for exchanges.
3 What is your return policy? You have 14 days after receiving your order to change your mind and cancel it, and then another 14 days to actually send it back via the return portal. The product must be in its original condition and packaging.
4 What if my product breaks? Our warranty period is 100 days from purchase. If your product breaks and no longer works the way it should, report it via our warranty page — we'll assess whether it's covered by the warranty. Your statutory rights (the legal guarantee) always apply as well.

Saucony Shadow 5000 Sneaker Brown White
Where this model comes from
The Shadow 5000 came out of Saucony's running line in the 1980s, back when a running shoe was still a patchwork of materials. Today it sits in Saucony Originals, the branch where the old models live. The shape has stayed the same; only where you wear it has shifted from the track to the sidewalk.
Suede and mesh mixed together
The upper alternates panels of suede with panels of mesh, that fine net that lets air through. The suede sits in the spots that take the most wear: the toe, the sides and the heel. The S mark on the side is done in off-white, so it stands out against the brown around it.
How does it handle a day in the city?
Under your foot is an EVA foam midsole, which absorbs the impact of the pavement. There's a soft lining along the collar and on the tongue, so nothing rubs against your ankle bone. The outsole has triangular lugs, the XT-600 sole that Saucony has been putting under models like this for decades.
Brown in four shades
This colorway goes from a light khaki on the toe through dark brown mesh to an olive green rear panel, with an orange patch on the heel. The midsole is off-white and the outsole brown. It works with jeans in almost any shade.
Rain and winter?
Suede and mesh don't keep water out. Walk through a heavy shower in them and the toe will darken. On a dry fall day that's no problem; for a week of slush, grab something else from the closet.

With this suede, we recommend a protector spray before you wear it for the first time; it’ll save you a lot of cleaning later. And keep an eye on the sizes, because in this colorway only the top end of the range is still available.
Do you often wear earth tones? This one runs from khaki through dark brown to an orange heel.
Do you walk on sidewalk tiles a lot? The EVA foam midsole absorbs those impacts.
Looking for a model with forty years of history? The Shadow 5000 dates from the eighties.
Does a new shoe quickly rub against your ankle bone? The collar and tongue are softly padded here.
Do you walk through slush or heavy rain? Suede and mesh don’t keep water out; go for something else.
Looking for size 43 or smaller? In this colorway, only 44 to 48 are still on the shelf.
