Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Sneaker Brown Cream
The ProGrid Omni 9 dates back to 2010, when it sat on store shelves as a running shoe. Saucony brought the model back as a sneaker, and this version sticks to warm tones: brown and sand-colored mesh over a cream-colored sole.
Where the Omni 9 comes from
At Saucony, the Omni line was the range for runners who wanted a bit of guidance underfoot. That explains the many plastic layers over the mesh: they gave the shoe its shape and held it together. Today you buy it to walk in, not to run marathons, but the construction has stayed the same.
What you feel underfoot
The midsole contains ProGrid, the cushioning Saucony tied its name to for years. It absorbs the impact of your heel and then gives a little back as you push off. The layer is substantial, so you stand quite a bit higher than on a flat sneaker.
The brown-cream version up close
In the photo you see open mesh in two shades of brown, with silver-gray and sand-colored layers on top. The sole transitions from cream at the top to caramel brown at the bottom. The Saucony logo is in a darker brown on the side, and the heel says OMNI 9.
Can you stand in them all day?
That's what this shoe is good at: a day in the city, a shift on your feet, a long walk along the sidewalk. The mesh lets air through, so your feet don't get warm as quickly. It's less suited to wet winter days, because open mesh lets water through just as easily.
Which size should you get?
Sizes here run from 38 to 48. Check Saucony's size guide to find the right size, or come try them on in Den Bosch.
We recommend the Omni 9 to customers who are on their feet all day: the midsole is thick, so you stand higher and roll through more softly. For wet winter days, we’d go for a more closed shoe, because this open mesh lets water in.
On your feet for an entire shift
Walking around town all day and want soft cushioning
Wearing warm earth tones and looking for a sneaker to go with them
Collecting running models that return as sneakers
If you walk through puddles in winter, open mesh lets water in; choose a closed leather sneaker.
If you’re really going running in them, choose a current running shoe; this model dates from 2010.
Take your usual size, the fit is regular.
Sizes here run from 38 through 48, in regular width.

Knock the dust out of the mesh and brush it dry; soap quickly leaves rings on light mesh.
Let it air-dry and keep it out of the washing machine.
