The First Basketball Club Geldrop was founded in September 1972 in an attic room on the Biezenstraat in Geldrop. The five founders: Jan Cremers, Hans van Grieken, Jos van Iperen, Pierre Jansen and Gerdi Jochems were looking for a new leisure activity. Basketball as a new emerging sport attracted the five and the club was founded with the help of the NBB (Dutch Basketball Association). This required at least a senior and a youth team, which were recruited in the municipality. In addition to the mentioned board members, Joost van Beek registered as the first member.
At the end of November 1972, the first training sessions started in a gymnasium on the parallel road under the leadership of Frans van Grieken. From the '73-'74 season onwards, full participation in the competition took place. They moved to the sports hall in Zesgehughten because it met the competition regulations. This is also where the growth of the association began, with several teams coming to play in competitions.

We notice that members often look for a specialized store that can offer everything in the field of basketball and indoor sports. In our physical store and our webshop we offer everything when it comes to: Basketball shoes , Basketball Clothing and Basketball Accessories .
Our standard collection currently consists of a club uniform, crewneck (sweater), training long sleeves, shooting shirts and t-shirts in different colors on which clubs can choose multiple designs. Some clubs choose to keep the competition clothing or merchandise in-house. The items can be seen in the webshop, but can only be ordered from the club.
We try to make improvements every month and expand our range!
Delivery and conditions
Most team shop items are specially personalized, so delivery time may be longer than 1-5 days. The items chosen are always in consultation with the club.
