The sun is starting to shine again and the days are getting longer and warmer. It’s time again to hit the outdoor street basketball courts and beat everyone. Spring actually marks the start of the 3X3 basketball season and means you can spend every day on your favorite sport again. For us at Burned, it’s always a great time to see everyone in the store again or to catch up at various tournaments across the Netherlands and Europe. Of course, alongside all this fun there is also a downside for Burned and many brands. Most basketball players play 5 vs 5 basketball, mainly indoors, so you also see that the period at the end of the season often means fewer customers and therefore a more compact collection. The brands often come out with beautiful new colors and focus more on lifestyle than on real performance releases. Despite all this, we at Burned always have a refreshed selection and an overview of what’s coming.
Lebron Witness III
This model from Nike & Lebron james is the third edition of this line. The Witness line is The King’s true performance line, created especially for the average guy. The shoe is slightly less stiff, which increases agility, and the fit is much better. Not everyone has the build, the weight and the strength of Lebron James. Even though a Witness 4 is also coming out in this Nike Basketball collection, Nike has decided to keep the Witness III model in the collection because of its popularity with top athletes all over the world.

The LeBron Witness III men’s shoe performs at game level, with a nod to LeBron’s birthplace. The knit upper is strong and flexible, and the integrated Air-Sole absorbs impact along the full length.

Nike Precision III
Like its predecessors, the third edition of this model is a solid basketball shoe. If you play basketball 1 to 2 times a week at a decent level, this is a very suitable shoe with a snug fit. The model is suited to light players. If you’re a bit heavier or use a lot of power in your game, this shoe may be too soft for you.

- Mid-top design with a padded collar provides comfort and lockdown.
- Extra eyelets for an improved fit.

- The molded outsole has a tread that wraps around the midsole from the sides and offers extra grip when you push off from the edges.
- Responsive Zoom Air cushioning provides a springy feel underfoot to give you speed on the court.
- A padded mid-top collar provides support around the ankle. A hook-and-loop strap goes over the laces near the midsole to keep your foot in place.
- The traditional tongue is attached to the footbed so it doesn’t slide while you play.
- Flywire cables are integrated with the laces so your foot stays in place.
Lebron Witness 4
This model from Nike & LeBron James is the fourth edition and the successor to the Witness described above. The sole has become a bit firmer and is more comparable to the Signature models from Nike & Lebron. However, this shoe is priced a lot better with almost the same tech. A suitable model for all basketball players, from amateur to pro.
- Nike Zoom units under the forefoot compress when you put weight on them, then spring back for a responsive feel. The cushioning is visible on the sides, so you get insight into the technology.
- The padded collar wraps your ankle, while an external heel counter keeps your foot stable on the footbed.
- Rubber on the outsole has a special shape for flexibility. A shockwave-inspired pattern on the sole provides firm grip.
Nike Air Max Impact
This Nike model is a true basic competition shoe. Every year, there are a few Air Max Nike basketball shoes in the collection. We’re always enthusiastic about the look and design ourselves, although the functionality sometimes leaves something to be desired. For example, Air is one of the things that breaks the fastest. Definitely not suitable if you’re on the court more than twice a week and want your shoes to last a long time.
- The Max Air unit in the heel powerfully absorbs impact and offers plenty of support.
- The heel clip is surprisingly light and wraps and stabilizes your foot well.
- The dual straps quickly give your feet a secure fit.
- Padded collar for comfort and support at the ankle.
Jordan Why Not? Zer0.3
This Russell Westbrook model is the third edition. The model was already introduced last season and will continue to run for quite a while. New colorways and editions of the same model are coming out in the SS20 collection. It is currently Jordan’s best and most popular basketball shoe, meeting all of a basketball player’s needs. Suitable for amateur and professional basketball players
One of the game’s fiercest competitors, triple-double dynamo Russell Westbrook has the motor, muscle and mindset to match his fearlessness - with the stats to back it up. The Jordan Why NotZer0.3 is tuned to Russ’s chaos on the court, with a midfoot strap to lock in the fit and a large cushioning unit to drive him hard and fast to the basket.
- Designed especially for Russ, the large Air Zoom Turbo unit at the front of the shoe is curved to follow the natural shape of the foot. As he drives down the court, the cushioning engages at different points for a continuously responsive sensation.
- A transparent, adjustable midfoot strap fastens in one smooth motion to keep you stable and locked in over the footbed.
- The split outsole, jagged design lines and clashing material mix are hallmarks of Russ’s signature line. Other embellishments include light-shifting accents and a visible factory label on the bottom of the shoe.
- The rubber outsole is split into 2 parts to reduce weight. Multidirectional traction helps you stay in control while you unleash chaos on the court.
- The double-layer textile material is lightweight and breathable, with open mesh areas that reveal the underlays.
- A sturdy molded piece of plastic between the 2 outsole sections provides structure and support.
